Agency: Shaliah, The Sent One.

Exodus 23:20- “Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared."

The word in this verse is Shalach relating to sending an angel which is Malak: The verb used for "send" (שָׁלַח, shaliach) is the root from which the noun "shaliach" is derived.

Malak: The term used for "angel" or "messenger" (מַלְאָךְ, malak) denotes one who is sent to deliver a message or perform a task.

So, by logical extension, the malak (angel/messenger) whom God sends in Exodus 23:20 functions as a shaliach, a sent one or emissary. This reflects the biblical concept of divine commissioning, where God sends messengers (whether human or angelic) to carry out His will, fitting well with the later, more formalized concept of a shaliach in rabbinic literature.

Shaliah instances in the Bible:

1)John 13:20 (ESV): "20 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me."

When people receive who the Messiah sends, they receive him.

- Similarly, we see in these next passages.

2) Let's examine Matthew 8:5-13(ESV): "5 When he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came forward to him, appealing to him, 6 “Lord, my servant is lying paralyzed at home, suffering terribly.” 7 And he said to him, “I will come and heal him.” 8 But the centurion replied, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only say the word and my servant will be healed. 9 For I too am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant,[a] ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”10 When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who followed him, “Truly, I tell you, with no one in Israel[b] have I found such faith. 11 I tell you, many will come from east and west and recline at table with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven, 12 while the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” 13 And to the centurion Jesus said, “Go; let it be done for you as you have believed.” And the servant was healed at that very moment.."

This is in line with Luke 7:1-10 (ESV): "When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum. 2 There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3 The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4 When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, 5 because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” 6 So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. 7 That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word and my servant will be healed. 8 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” 10 Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.."

So my Question beloved is, did the Centurion speak to Yeshua or not? Seems like the scripture contradicts itself, unless how the Centurion spoke to Yeshua was by his Shaliah, the sent friends who spoke in Luke verbatim what he said in Matthew. So as we have seen a Shaliah is a sent one or sent ones which would be plural Shelihim. So these two friends who spoke the words the centurion supposedly said to Yeshua in Matthew, they said in Luke as the Shelihim of the Centurion, so when dealing with the Shelihim (Shaliah) agents, Yeshua was dealing directly with the Centurion as seen in Matthew, otherwise this is a contradiction because he NEVER spoke to the Centurion himself.

Which is why according to Carl F. H. Henry, ed. (1958). Revelation and the Bible: Contemporary Evangelical Thought. Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Book House. p. 192. -https://biblicalstudies.org.uk/pdf/rev-henry/12_nt-canon_ridderbos.pdf- Page 3, second paragraph, in the 3rd line of the PDF It says "In Jewish jurisprudence there existed what was known as the sjaliach (apostle), a man who in the name of others could appear with authority and whose significance was thus described: “the shaliach for a person is as this person himself.” It is with this meaning that Christ confronted the apostles when he applied the rule, “He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me” (Matt. 10:40; cf. John 13:20). The apostles are Christ’s representatives, those to whom in a very special and exclusive manner he has entrusted the preaching."

So my question is who sent the Angel before Israel, contextually when you read from Exodus 20 through to Exodus 23 it is Yehovah speaking to Moses about the laws, but when he says "I will send my Messenger or Angel" this is God the point is relating protection on the way to the promised land, this is symbolic of Yeshua, however, to answer my question Yehovah sends his angel which is his Shaliah, his representative, to guard them on their way to bring them to Israel, this Angel is Symbolic of Messiah how he is leading the way, which we must follow in his footsteps as he leads the way to the true Israel being pointed to, the physical Israel Yehoshua (Joshua) leads Israel in again another symbolism of Yehoshua (Jesus) leading us into the promised land, the kingdom, in revelation. Anyway, so when we see Yeshua we see the Father as we have seen in the PDF as well as the scriptures, who recieves the disciples and recives Yeshua, and the one who receives Yeshua, receives Yehovah the one who sent his messenger Messiah Yeshua. So Exodus 23:20 verse is a literal event of the time, but this symbolically points to Yeshua in the spiritual of how God through him does the works, God reconciles the world to himself Colossians 1:20, Yehovah speaks through Yeshua Deuteronony 18:18-19 with Acts 3:19-22 and John 12:48-50 and John 8:40 God through Jesus speaks to us, and we see when you see me you see the Father because when you see the one sent it is as good as seeing the one doing the sending as seen in John 14:8-10. We also see God through Yeshua did the Miracles in Acts 2:22 which also is in line with John 14:8-10 the Father through Jesus does the works as we read before.

So hopefully you listened as I have established that Yehoshua the Messiah commonly known as Jesus is pointed to in God's promise, the Angel points to Messiah, Yeshua is being promised in the Tanakh the Old Testament and then that promise becomes Jesus which is the WORD becomes real or flesh John 1:14. And Yehovah God through agents does events, God through the man Jesus did miracles, he also judges the world through the man Acts 17:31, speaks through the man Jesus as seen in John 8:40, when you see Jesus you see the Father, the only way this makes sense for Jesus to be Yehovah is Modalism or Unitarianism because Agency is clearly showing you see the FATHER who is God when you see what Jesus is doing. Unless Jesus is the Father then that would make sense as him as God, or you see the Father through what Jesus was doing as he made him known John 1:18 which then debunks the mindset of Modalism as Jesus is the Father God but is a man making him the Father a distinct person known and that person is not seen, how he is seen is by agents hence the title Angel of his Presence in Isaiah 63:9 which again points to Messiah, there is a literal Angel and he symbolically points to Yeshua's coming how God will do all the old testament events in a spiritual way through Yeshua his Son.
