Yehovah

On this page you will find our arguments for why Yehovah is the Father alone for this is our stance here at Stand On Scripture that there is no other person or thing which is god other than Yehovah the Father amen.  You may find more information on this topic if you check our social media's if you desire to learn more than which is just placed on this page.  You can check our about page.

Relating To Who Yehovah God Is:

Deuteronomy 18:18-19 [ASV]- 18 I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

It is evident that Yehovah our God is telling us to listen or hear what this prophet has to say because Yehovah himself raises up this prophet and speaks through him by placing his words on the prophet by commanding him what to say, so now we must give evidence of this being about Yehoshua (Jesus) the Messiah and if it is Yehoshua (Jesus) the Messiah that we must listen to or we will be held accountable or have it required of us for not listening, we best believe what Yehoshua (Jesus) says because when Yehoshua (Jesus) speaks it is as good as Yehovah God speaking directly to us, because he is the one speaking the words of Yehovah for us to obey.

Acts 3:19-22 [ASV] - 19 Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord; 20 and that he may send the Christ who hath been appointed for you, even Jesus: 21 whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, whereof God spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old. 22 Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.

So we see it seems according to the context of Acts that Moses wrote this on behalf of God, since God speaks through the prophets and God speaking through Moses spoke of Yehoshua (Jesus) as the one we must listen to and obey, if this however is not enough we could go to the next verses from the mouth of Yehoshua (Jesus) himself about God speaking through him.

John 8:40 [ASV] - 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I heard from God: this did not Abraham.
John 12:48-50 [ASV] - 48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my sayings, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the last day. 49 For I spake not from myself; but the Father that sent me, he hath given me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50 And I know that his commandment is life eternal; the things therefore which I speak, even as the Father hath said unto me, so I speak.

So since now it should be clear that we must listen to Yehoshua (Jesus) or we will be held accountable or it will be required of us we must then follow the Messiah Yehoshua (Jesus) in relation to who he says Yehovah God is as well as in relation to if we should obey the Torah or not, don't you think?  So what then did Yehoshua (Jesus) say in relation to who Yehovah God is?  We already seen in John 8:40 that he is a man who hears from God, not that he is Yehovah God, and that it is the Father who commands him what to say in John 12:49 which would mean that Yehovah is the Father who commands the prophet Yehoshua (Jesus) logically in Deuteronomy 18:15-19 and therefore the prophet could not logically also be Yehovah God since one person as Yehovah is speaking as God raising up another person Yehoshua (Jesus) as his prophet who he commands to say things for Yehovah God, but let us see more verses in relation to who Yehovah God is.

John 4:23-24 [ASV] - 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth: for such doth the Father seek to be his worshippers. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

Yehoshua (Jesus) speaking clearly shows that the true worshippers do not worship a Triune three person as one being which is Yehovah God no, in fact Yehoshua (jesus) has said the true worshippers worship the Father which is a singular person or self who is God being spoken of who is Spirit.

John 17:1-3 [ASV]- These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee: 2 even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life. 3 And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ.

Yehoshua (Jesus) Is explicitly stating that the Father is alone the true God, the word for only is monos in Greek which means alone [SEE LINK HERE] Monos is literally alone, if you scroll down you will see that this alone is in and I quote "1. an adjective, alone (without a companion);" which is in alinement with sub point b. relating John 17:3, again I quote "b.  it is joined with its noun to other verbs also, so that what is predicated may be declared to apply to some one person alone" so this monos or alone, or only true God is without a companion predicated of as the Father one person alone, therefore it is impossible according to the run through of the use of the word no one other than him who Yehoshua (Jesus) is speaking to, unfortunately Trinitarians will have you believe that this some how doesn't stop the son being the alone true God with the Father because it just says he is the only true God and that it doesn't mean the Son can't be the only true God also, but if you run through that break down as stated it clearly negates that possibility but let us continue.

John 20:17 [ASV] - 17 Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

Now notice here that Yehoshua (Jesus) clearly is saying that his God and the disciples God is the Father, now notice Stand On Scripture being a Biblical Unitarian Torah observant congregation as Biblical Unitarian we believe our God is only the Father not multiple persons as one God, so if the Father is alone the true God and he is his Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit being his existence or his Spirit then we can see Yehoshua (Jesus) is by that same definition of a singular person the Father as his God then he would be also Unitarian as well as the disciples also and also to the true worshippers as stated earlier in this page.

 John 8:54 [ASV] - 54 Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father that glorifieth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God;

This would be the final point on relating to the Father by himself as the alone true God and then before I speak on Torah according to Yehoshua (Jesus) I will summarise  what we have seen by Yehoshua (Jesus) so here we see clearly the Jews who Yehoshua (Jesus) is speaking are also in themselves Unitarians because they call the Father God not a triune god which is made up of three persons, just simply the Father is that God they call their God.

Summary on who Yehovah God is according to Yehoshua (Jesus)
1) We will be held accountable or have it required of us if we do not listen to Yehoshua as shown according to
Deuteronomy 18:15-19 which is tied into Acts 3:19-22.
2) The true worshippers worship the Father (not a triune god.)
John 4:23-24
3) The alone true God is the Father which is an adjective alone without a companion and is predicated of one person which is the Father as being that alone true God John 17:1-3
4) The disciples God is the Father  John 20:17.
5) Yehoshua's (Jesus's) God is the Father not a Trinity god which is made up of three persons as seen in John 20:17

What ever you choose beloved remember that it does not reflect on me your choice, we are all going to be before Yehovah God in the Son Yehoshua the man he appoints and we are all judged for our own choices not others.  While it would be sad to see the wrong choice picked by you the reader I can only say I tried in order to help and it was left up to Yehovah God and your own choice, so choose in sincerity of your seeking for Yehovah God.

Shalom
